Bridal Shower

Today at Splitcoaststampers, the challenge is called Something Old, Something New. This is perfect for my project for a bridal shower. A friend recently got engaged a couple weeks ago. Made my heart happy for her! Just last night, I found out that some friends are throwing a shower for her this Saturday, because she is having a small beach wedding in July! I made one wedding dress favor box and plan on making more for her shower. It was quite easy to make and here is a link to the template:

Getting Ready for Surgery

It has been a productive morning for me. I ran a couple miles and made two cards! One card is for the Color Challenge at Splitcoaststampers. The other is for my husband who will be going to surgery on Friday. He should only be there for a half day and then come home. So I decided to make him a get well card. I used some scrap dp in my stash. I tried to keep it simple for a masculine feel. Making masculine cards are a challenge! I tend to make them too cutesy. This little owl image came from Pink Cat Studio's Q.T. Hooty Owl.

Now I need to go and make an appetizer for my friend's get together. I saw a Layered Greek Dip that looked delicious. After making the dip, I plan to give my shitzu a haircut. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Almost a Year Later!

I had a wonderful year with my kindergarten class, and now I am off for summer break. I plan to be more crafty during my time off! It is also time for me to learn how to blog. I enjoy browsing what is available online, and found some wonderful inspirations. Off the Wall Craftiness posts beautiful picture collages to inspire others to create. Here's the picture for this week's challenge:
Here's the web link as well:

Summer is a fun season, and the OTWC captured the essence of it in her photo collage. I wonder if she took all these pictures? I am not a big fan of summer, as it is too hot here in Florida. I tend to spend more time indoors! This morning I found a Papertrey bike image sitting on my table, and was able to incorporate it into my card today. I used the colors and the bike from OTWC#56 as my inspiration. I tend to use a mix of supplies from various companies. I used the bike image from Papertrey's Button Bits. Yeah for me! My first crafty blog post!
