Friday Morning Challenges

Yesterday evening, I received all my stamp orders that I ordered earlier in the week! I was very surprised, because I was expecting them after the weekend! So last night I practiced using my copics after watching some sweetnovember youtube videos.

I adore CC Designs cute stamps! Such sweet images... it was a bit difficult to just pick one! I got three that I will be playing with this weekend!

This morning, I saw that Splitcoaststampers Free For All #121 Challenge was up- to use red, white, and blue! I also stumbled upon the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #160. Here's the sketch:

What a fun sketch! I took one of my new images from coloring last night and made a Cookie Birthday card for my mom. I like how she came out, as I wanted a more Asian look to this particular image.

Supplies: Stamps- Sugarplums Cookie Emma, Swiss Pixies Spring Bench Cardstock- SU Red Riing Hood, Basic Grey Serendipity designer paper, Other- copic markers, pop-ups, glitter pen, pearl adhesives, MFT Mini Rolled Roses die, SU Crystal Effects, white gel pen

Here's a different angle of my card so you can see that she is popped up.
Have a wonderful weekend!

A Little Brunch with the Deconstructed Sketch #55

I love this sketch! I really adored Jen's sample for her sketch as well. Click on the sketch to go to her post and see her super cute card with a sweet Greeting Farm image!

Here is my card using her sketch. I hope to give it to one of my female soccer-playing friends or their daughters.

Supplies: Cardstock: kraft, white, and Basic Grey Shine On designer paper, Ink- Stampin Up close to Cocoa, Memento Tuxedo Black, Stamps: The Greeting Farm Anya & Because of You sentiments, Other: twine, star punch, copic markers

Here is the inside with the sentiment showing...

I made myself a little brunch this morning! It is similiar to Vietnamese summer rolls. Well this is a breakfast version that I have eaten ever since I was a little girl. I put some green onion, cilantro, basil, green tomato, eggs, and bacon onto my rice paper. I rolled it up and dipped into some yummy NÆ°á»›c mắm pha sauce.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a fantastic day!

Summer Break!!

I am so glad it is summer break! I have had a long and somewhat challenging year! Last week was officially my first week off... and I did nothing!! So today seemed like a great day to get back into stamping and creating. Thanks to Papertrey's Make it Monday #69 challenge, I was able to easily put this one together quickly. However, trying to figure out my new Photoshop CS6 is more work than I want to put in! What kind of photo editing software are you using?

I used one of my favorite go to sets from Papertrey Ink: Life. I happened to have some fun crinkly brown ribbon from leftover chocolate packaging on my table... I just had to use it! Here's a close up view of my card:

Here is the inspiration sketch I used:

Splitcoaststampers and Papertrey Ink have been my go to places for inspiration back into the crafting world. Now that I have been away for a while from the crafting scene, I wonder what are some great places for inspiration? What blogs or challenges do you like to visit??

Favorite Fonts

Teachery Tidbits is having a Favorite Fonts Linky Party!

My all time favorite font is called Kindergarten. See below for a sample of it. I wrote my fonts in my Mimio software and saved as a picture to upload here on my blog. Hmm... makes me wonder if I should start writing in my Mimio to blog?? I have wondered how other people got such cute fonts on their own blogs!

When browsing the other favorite favorite font links, I fell in love with these free ones by Hello Literacy!! I am particularly fond of her D'Nealie and Firstie ones. They make me happy!

A Teaching Post

Happy New Year! Lately, I haven't kept track of my personal crafty stuff. My Christmas cards are not done... or they are on their way for being prepared for Christmas 2012! I guess I better get working on those Valentine's cards.

Teaching kindergarten has been consuming most of my spare time. In addition, these past few months I have become an addict of teacher blogs and Pinterest. There's a big giveaway for teachers who would like some ideas for the new year. Click HERE to go to Mrs. Albanese's Kindergarten Class for more information about that!

I hope to be back later with my last 2011 MFT challenge. I just need to take and edit the pics!
